Educational Series - Verbal Judo

Join us for an Educational Series, featuring Officer Joshua Miller of the Wooster Police Department. He will present “Verbal Judo” on Tuesday, August 5, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m at the Wooster Community Hospital auditorium.

Developed by the Verbal Judo Institute, this training provides practical and easy to learn strategies that empower people to effectively de-escalate conflict and potential bias. Participants will learn how to redirect negative behavior, encourage voluntary compliance, and enhance personal safety and professionalism.

Parking & Directions to the Auditorium: Attendees should park in the Pizza Hut lot adjacent to the hospital, where approximately 30 spots will be reserved specifically for this event. Please park on the south side of the lot, closest to the hospital building, and remain south of the light pole and the blue dividing line. While some spillover is okay, this reserved area should accommodate the group.

To access the auditorium, enter through the pharmacy door entrance, located just to the left of the pharmacy drive-thru. Once inside, walk straight down the hallway, passing the pharmacy and then the coffee cafe. The auditorium will be on your right.
