Small Business Orientation
The Ohio Small Business Development Center, Kent State University at Stark conducts an orientation session for adults interested in starting a small business in Stark or Wayne County and those who are in the early stages of business formation in these counties.
This informational and entertaining program provides an overview of issues related to starting a business, including:
- Local and regional resources that are available to help you
- The right business type for you
- Liability, zoning and naming the business
- Where to find all the forms for starting a business
- What you need when you add employees
- Business planning
- Financing your business
- Common pitfalls
Each participant will leave with a program packet filled with handouts and other useful information and is eligible to make an appointment for individualized counseling with a business advisor.
