WASC April 2019 - BWC Update/Awards

The Wooster Area Safety Council will meet on Wednesday, April 24th for their annual awards luncheon. BWC Loss Prevention Supervisor, Dawn Gates, will give attendees an update on what the BWC is working on in the coming year, as well as help present the awards.

Dawn graduated from Kent State University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. She began her career with the BWC in 1994 in the Injury Management Department. In 1996, she moved to the Employer Management Department as an Employer Services Specialist. Dawn has worked directly with Ohio employers in developing proper risk management and risk control strategies including premium reduction programs, proper claims handling strategies, and preliminary onsite risk assessments. Currently, Dawn and her safety staff provide safety consultations and hazard assessments for 18 separate Safety Council groups in 19 counties.
