The Wooster Area Safety Council will meet on Wednesday, August 22nd at First Presbyterian Church for their monthly meeting. The group will hear from Joe Villegas, Director of the Wayne County Emergency Management Agency. Joe will address the topic of Crisis Management and Communication. Specifically, Joe will speak about your COOP (Continuity Of Operations Plan). As Director of the Wayne County Emergency Management Agency, Joe was integral in the county wide transition from Enhanced 911 service to Next Generation 911, conversion of VHF public safety communications to a statewide Digital Trunked Radio Communications, and the implementation of high speed data sharing between cities within the county. He also has experience in off-shore manufacturing, GSA Sales, as well as network design and implementation. Joe received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Corporate Communications from Walsh University and just recently graduated from FEMA’s Basic Academy. Lunch will be served at 11:30 AM with the presentation beginning at Noon.
