Wooster Area Safety Council is going to start off 2023 with the 10 most important things to know about successfully navigating Ohio's Workers' Compensation system. On Wednesday, January 25, Becca Rohner and Bob Nicoll will discuss what they see as the important things that employers and employees need to know and practice in order to successfully manage the workers’ comp programs at their workplaces. They will approach the subject from the perspective of the Managed Care Organizations’ and Third Party Administrators’ day to day interactions with employers and employees. They will share best practices related to both claim and cost management.
Bob is a Program Manager with Sedgwick and just celebrated his 25th year with Sedgwick. During his time with Sedgwick he has served in various positions from sales to customer service. His responsibilities now include assisting Sedgwick’s group rating chamber sponsors and their members with the administration of Sedgwick’s group rating and claim management programs. Prior to joining Sedgwick Bob worked in the commercial property and casualty field for 15 years.
Becca has a BA in Rehabilitation Services from Wright State University and has over 20 years of Workers Comp experience. She has held several positions within Sedgwick MCO including claims management, training new colleagues and management. She currently holds the role of Account Executive and serves clients across the state of Ohio, providing seamless solutions to help injured employees recover, and helping clients control expenses and reduce lost workdays.
