WASC November 2023 - Respirators Do We Need Them?

Many workers use respirators as protection from hazards that may cause cancer, lung impairment, or diseases, but do you know which type to use and when they are required? Wooster Area Safety Council will meet on Wednesday, November 15 to hear from Sarah Ghezzi, Industrial Hygienist with the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation, on Respirators Do We Need Them?

Her presentation will answer the following questions:

1. How do I determine if  respirators are required?

2. Why is the Respiratory Standard among the most cited by OSHA?

3. What do I need to do if my employees use dust masks?

Sarah Ghezzi is a Certified Safety Professional and an OSHA Authorized Trainer for General Industry and Construction. She has been practicing in the field of safety and health for over 25 years. She is currently an Industrial Hygienist at the Bureau of Workers Compensation working in the Canton and Cambridge Offices.
