WASC October 2018 - Job Safety Analysis

The Wooster Area Safety Council will meet on Wednesday, October 24th from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. The group will learn about Job Safety Analysis (JSA). A Job Safety Analysis is defined as a procedure which helps integrate accepted safety and health principles and practices into a particular task or job operation. Each step of the Job Safety Analysis is meant to identify potential hazards and to recommend the safest way to complete a job. The presentation will cover what a Job Safety Analysis is, what it entails, and a brief look at how to write and update one. The meeting will take place at First Presbyterian Church in Wooster. 

Alan Beckley, Safety Coodinator, at ProVia will be speaking. Alan has been in the safety profession for the past 8 years as the Safety Coordinator for ProVia. Alan manages ProVia's Walnut Creek facilities participation in OSHA's Voluntary Protection Program that encourages private industry and federal agencies to prevent workplace injuries and illnesses. Alan is also a Special Government Employee which allows him to work alongside with OSHA during onsite evaluations.
