WASC September 2019 - Return to Work

The next Safety Council meeting is scheduled for September 25 to discuss Return to Work.
Dr. Perry Williams, Medical Director for MedPro Group, will be presenting the topic Case Compression: Injury Care and Return to Work Management to Minimize Costs. Dr. Williams will review the different cost drivers involved in an injury situation. He will discuss claim determination and how that impacts when an employee is eligible to return to work. Care decisions play a very important role in determining when someone will be work-ready. Dr. Williams will share the steps involved in the process of returning to work. He also will review ways to eliminate unnecessary costly delays.
Dr. Williams is a board certified occupational medicine specialist. He received his medical degree from American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine and has been in practice for 25 years. He is also certified with BWC, is DOT certified and is a certified medical review officer.
