About Us

3i Solutions was founded in 1997 to develop and manufacture ingredients for consumer markets utilizing 3i Solutions’ proprietary encapsulation technologies. 3i Solutions’ management team has years of experience in food product development, product management, sales management, and chemistry. Our experience creates value as 3i Solutions works with our customers to develop new ingredients and incorporate them into consumer and component ingredient products.
Essentially, 3i Solutions makes oil-soluble materials water-dispersible. The benefits of 3i Solutions’ technology include ease of inclusion into water-based formulations, improved absorption of nutritional ingredients, extended shelf life, controlled release of active ingredients, and anchoring of active materials at the site of action. The combination of our technologies allows 3i Solutions to offer our customers ways to create new product forms and improve the formulation and performance characteristics of existing end-use products.
All of our technological benefits can be delivered at commercially-viable pricing. Depending on the cost of the nutritional ingredient, nanodispersion technology can be provided at a cost premium of as little as 30% over the cost of the ingredient alone.
3i Solutions has in-place capacity to produce up to 3 million pounds of product annually with the ability to easily double capacity as required. 3i Solutions’ manufacturing facility is state-of-the-art and operates under Food and Dietary Supplement GMP standards. The operation is also Kosher certified through the Orthodox Union.
