About Us

We're working to renovate and reopen the Lyric Theater in downtown Wooster as a movie theater and live event space. This project follows from a simple premise: an empty theater sitting at the heart of downtown Wooster can fulfill a deep need for experiences that bring people together. The new Lyric Theater will feature movies – from classic films and new features to art house fare – and live events – from open mic and area bands to jazz and opera and comedy and community talks and more. It will be a cornerstone of a new downtown arts and culture district; an economic driver bringing visitors to Wooster and Wayne County; and a welcoming space of conversation and discovery.
